Who is Destiny?

Everyday my painting is a little different than yesterday’s because Allah (God) isn’t done with His book. DJAWP is a glimpse of Destiny through a pair of virtual lenses.

“The only person you are destined to become

is the person you decide to be.”

The meaning of Destiny

I am a dab of Whitley and Freddie who’s waiting for her Dewayne, but I am patient like Meagan Good, resilient like Ciara, humble like Kelly Rowland, natural like Solange, modest and supportive like Ayesha Curry, determined like Monica McCall, productive like Mary Janereal like Janelle Monáe, stuck to my Roots like Kizzy Kinte, versatile like Angela Basset, I am a “Sail Out” and I am Souled Out” like Jhene Aiko, I speak freely like Sandra Bland, so I’m misunderstood like Left Eye, striving to have the strength and mind of my spiritual mothers (Mother Clara Muhammad, Mother Tynetta Muhammad, and Mother Khadijah Farrakhan) and I Am Me like Willow Smith.

My Heartbeat

I’m not sure who my husband will be, but I have a few things to share with him before he makes himself known:

I hesitated with starting this blog because I didn’t want to openly share pieces of my mind before having a moment to meet with you face-to-face. But since this is something dear to my heart and in alignment with my purpose,  •remember DJAWP is not all of me. •If you’re interested, be interested, but don’t get caught into misinterpretations of me before earning the chance of getting to know me offline.

Did you know Destiny is a Book?

If not, it’s one of the first steps toward getting to know her.

“I realized more so that every human being is a book and that we would never get to know one another as fully as we could or should until our history is written and the nuances of our lives are brought forth, then and only then can people know who they truly walked with and among.”

– The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, Memories by Sister Claudette Muhammad
